President Bola Tinubu has joked about his fall at Eagle Square, Abuja, on Wednesday morning during the June 12 Democracy Day celebration at the Square.
While responding to his mockers during his address, the president said the fall was a form of prostrating and a mark of respect for Nigeria for the 25 years of unbroken democracy.
The President was mounting the parade vehicle when he missed a step and fell. A video of the incident trended on social media.
While describing his fall as ‘swagger,’ the President said;
‘’Early this morning I had a swagger and it is on the social media. They are confused whether I was doing “‘buga’ or doing ‘babaringa’ but it is a day to celebrate democracy while doing dobale (prostration)for the day. I am a traditionally Yoruba boy, I did my dobale (prostration).’
