The London Metropolitan Police earlier on Thursday declared the arrest and charge of Ike Ekweremadu, the former Deputy Senate President and his wife, Beatrice Ekweremadu. The trial of the duo for conspiring to bring a child to the UK in order to harvest the child’s organ is set to hold at the Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court, having pleaded not guilty to the charges, has adjourned till July 7.
According to Magistrate Lois Sheard, the allegation against the Nigerian senator and his wife is critical and as result remanded both defendants into custody and had the matter adjourned ahead of their hearing in July 7.
“These are serious allegations and these matters are now adjourned until 7 July back here at Uxbridge,” Magistrate Lois Sheard stated.
In the meantime, the police said the child involved in question is now secured
