The St. Gregory’s College Old Boys Association held its AGM and conducted its election on Saturday December 4, 2021 to herald in new executive members.
Before the commencement of the election, the Association held its Annual General Meeting where the activity reports of the association in the last one year were presented, deliberated upon and adopted.
The President of the Association, retired Justice Adeniyi Ademola gave an account of his administration in the last one year which captured programs and projects carried out by the association and future plans for the development of the college
A new EXCO is elected every 3 years, except for the position of President which is a single term of 6 years.
The election was conducted by Mr J Olusola Macgregor, a Trustee, ably assisted by Mr Akin Ajayi, a Patron of the Association.
Most elective positions were returned unopposed except for the offices of 1st Vice President and Publicity Secretary. The position of the 1st Vice President was contested for between Mr. Francis Kudayah and Mr. Anthony Epelle, with Mr. Anthony Epelle emerging as the winner with a landslide victory.
While, the office of the Publicity Secretary was contested for by three members namely Mr. Moses Nwanze (incumbent Publicity Secretary), Comrade Ayodele Adewale (Ex Officio of the Association) and Mr. James Kadiri.
Mr. Moses Nwanze stepped down before the commencement of the election, leaving the stage for Comrade Adewale and Mr. James Kadiri to contest.
At the end of the election, Comrade Ayodele Adewale was declared as winner of the election having won with a landslide, as well.
The election was conducted in a convivial environment and the spirit of unity and camaraderie was obvious as members of the year sets reunited and bonded over food and drinks, during the informal social get together after the elections.
Following the conclusion of the exercise, the following emerged as the new executive members of St. Gregory’s Old Boys Association;

- Mr Babatunde Abozos – Financial Secretary.
- Comrade Ayodele Adewale – Publicity Secretary.
- Mr Goke Atiba – Social Secretary.
- Bar. Olasewere – Legal Adviser
- Rev. Fr. Paul Anyansi – ( Chaplin)
- Mr Yinka Marinho – Membership Secretary.
- Mr Opeoluwa Osho – Auditor.
- Ms. Omolara Thomas – Ex-Officio.
- Mr Ken Oboh – Ex-Officio.
- Pst. Lola Alakija – Ex-Officio.
- Mr Ray Azagba – Ex-Officio.
The program started at 3:14pm and ended around 5:55pm
Over 120 members attended the AGM/Election.
