In fulfillment of some of his campaign promises and as part of his efforts to eradicate poverty and unemployment within the Constituency, Member of the House of Representatives representing Agege Federal Constituency, Hon. Dr. Samuel Babatunde Adejare, has facilitates the completion of a 3-day training and empowerment programme, particularly for youths and women within Agege Federal Constituency.
Adejare who is known as the voice of the good people of Agege Federal Constituency, organised the pig farming training with participants drawn from all the 13 wards across Agege Local Government and Orile-Agege LCDA. It was stated that the training is to promote self-sufficiency and self-reliance among youths and women within the Constituency.
Following the training which spanned 3-days from Thursday 25th of November to Saturday 27th of November, Adejare presented all 250 participants of the training with N100,000 (Hundred Thousand Naira) each as an agricultural start-up grant to encourage them and boost their businesses as prospective pig farmers.
Hon. Adejare described the grant as one of the dividends of democracy, expressing that the good people of Agege Federal Constituency who have entrusted him with their mandate are deserving of good governance and should expect more of this kind of gesture from his office as their representative.
Present at the venue for the disbursement of start-up funds were dignitaries which included Hon. Kunle Amunikoro (two-term member of the House of Representatives); Hon. Abiodun Ogundinmu (Baala of Agege Kingdom & Chairman, Sabaco Group) and Hon. Jimoh Jayeola (Vice-Chairman, Sabaco).
Also represented at the program was the Senator representing Lagos West, Senator Adeola Olamilekan Yayi and other leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Agege LG and Orile-Agege LCDA.
The training and empowerment, facilitated by Hon. Dr. Samuel Babatunde Adejare MHR was executed by Border Community Development Agency (Presidency) in collaboration with De Gift Allied Ltd.
In his remarks, Hon. Adejare expressed that he remains passionate about the welfare and empowerment of the good people of Agege Federal Constituency, stating that he will continue to do everything within the confines of his office towards ensuring that the good people of Agege feel the impact of quality representation and transformational governance within the consistency.
