Birthday: Davido pledges N300m to fight drug abuse, support orphanages
Nigerian music maestro, David Adeleke, fondly called Davido, has pledged to donate ₦300 million to orphanage and fight against drug abuse and addiction among the youth.
According to him, the staggering donation is a part of activities to mark his birthday this year.
Davido who announced this on Monday via X, said: “Once again, my birthday this year, we are donating to orphanages and a charity that helps young people stay away from drug abuse and addiction. This year, it’s ₦300m. Details to follow soon.”
During every of his birthday celebrations and on other special days, the music superstar demonstrates his habit of giving back to the society in a remarkable way, especially foster homes in Nigeria.
In February, Davido announced a ₦300 million donation to orphanages across the country.
In November 2021, he also donated ₦250 million to 292 orphanages in commemoration of his 29th birthday.
In July 2023, Davido also donated ₦237 million to over 400 orphanages in Nigeria.
