2024 Hajj: FCTA warns pilgrims against unlawful acts in Saudi Arabia

Piqued by the increasing reports of affluence by some pilgrims, especially the first-timers, the management of Federal Capital Territory Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board (MPWB) has warned against unlawful activities in the holy land.

They also cautioned them against activities capable of attracting severe sanctions from the authorities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

At an enlightenment programme, officials from the FCT Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board expressed regrets that despite repeated warnings against the implications of extravagance, some of the pilgrims have spent their Basic Traveling Allowance (BTA) extravagantly.

They urged the pilgrims to exercise caution in all their financial transactions in the remaining days ahead.

They also stressed the importance of cleanliness and proper utilisation of facilities provided in their various accommodations.

Some of the pilgrims expressed appreciation for the guidance and promised to apply the knowledge acquired in a manner that would guarantee a good stay in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

While pledging to be law-abiding, the pilgrims also promised to be good ambassadors throughout the period of their stay in the Holy Land.
