Some gunmen have reportedly shot to death an official of Federal Inland Revenue (FIRS) identified as Khalid Bichi.
D’Gallery gathered that Bichi was killed by his attackers in Maitama, Abuja, by 9.00 pm on Friday, while he was trying to buy food.
The deceased, we further gathered, was shot several times and was immediately rushed to Maitama General Hospital but was pronounced dead by doctors on arrival.
Abuja has always come under attack by bandits and kidnappers.
A report had had it earlier that about 13 people had been abducted in a recent attack in Piko, a secluded community in Bwari Area Council of Abuja.
The attack which occurred last Sunday, lasted for about an hour without any resistance by security agents.
The Madaki of Piko, Chief John Jatau, confirmed that 10 locals were taken from his area, including four nomadic Fulani herdsmen.
A source disclosed that one of the Fulani herdsmen was able to escape from the captors.
The kidnappers are demanding a ransom of N900 million Naira.
