With regard to recent terrorists’ attack in Ondo State on Saint Francis Catholic Church, Owa-luwa Street, Owo, the headquarters of the Owo Local Government Area on Sunday, Governor Akeredolu has ordered that the Nigerian flags in residential and public buildings should fly half-mast for seven days.
The directive by the governor was contained in a press statement posted to the Facebook page of the governor on Monday, signed by his Chief Press Secretary. Mr. Olatunde Richard
The governor has described the attack as a calculated onslaught which has sent the good people of the state into a mournful state.
“…the attack on innocent worshippers at St Francis Catholic Church, Owa-luwa Street, Owo was a deliberate and calculated assault on the People of the state,” the governor said.
Governor Akeredolu however calmed the people of Ondo State with assurance that the perpetrators will be brought to book and peace will be restored.
