The former vice president, Abubakar Atiku who emerged as winner at the recent presidential primary election of the People Democratic Party is said to have once again turned his searchlight eastward.
Atiku’s choice of running mate according to our source is the former governor of Imo State, Emeka Ihedioha.
Ihedioha is the immediate former governor of Imo State and a former Speaker and deputy speaker of the Federal House of Representatives.
Ihedioha Emeka was removed by the Supreme Court of Nigeria from office as governor of Imo State in January 14, 2020 and declared Hope Uzodinma the APC candidate as the authentic winner of the gubernatorial election.
There are still speculations that Atiku’s next running mate is the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike. However, prior to this time, Wike has rejected the Vice President slot.
